Introductory Exercise |
The first exercise gave us a good idea of what the course will be about - observing different daylight qualities in architectural space using models. This one was the ice breaker, as we built the model in teams (Ryota and I worked together this time). It all took about two hours, and then we were free to observe the simple space (one wall opening, one clerestory) under variety of light conditions. Click on an image below to see the entire process. On the left, sketch from first class before working with the model. The sketch on the right was drawn at the end of the physical model exercise. |
