1) Find the location on the map where you would like to add an annotation,
2) select the map by clicking on it anywhere, then press the "i" key to enter annotation mode (this should case any visible symbols to disappear).
3) now click on the location where you would like to place an annotation,
4) fill out and submit the brief form (latitude and longitude will already be filled out).
A few minutes later your annotated point is live on the map.
