Aerial canopy temperature differences between fast- andslow-wilting soya bean genotypes

Folks,

My lab has just published a paper detecting differences in soybean canopy temperature using an IR camera from an aerial platforms of a kite or tethered balloon (depending upon wind conditions). If interested, here is a link to the PDF. http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/jac.12259/epdf

My appreciation goes out to many of you on the KAP forum for your advice and help. There is a short note in the acknowledgment sections recognizing the form:

"... We also acknowledge the expertise of members of the Kite Aerial Photography User’s Forum (http://arch.ced.berkeley.edu/kap/discuss/) who were a wonderful source of inspiration and assistance."

  • Larry,
Congratulations on your paper! Good to know the forum helped you. KAP is a proven aerial mapping method but published results are rare. IR results even more so.

There is great satisfaction in knowing the wind has done the work!
